Malaysia desperately lack of talent!!

Recently in Malaysia, the boleh (can do) Land, two disturbing courts ruling over statutory rape causes public outcry. While I am no law expert, nor do I intend to challenge the judges' wisdom. I am just as confuse as many of my friends. I am feeling that Malaysia are lacking talents, thus, the judges cannot afford to put "bright" people in jail, otherwise, Malaysia may fail as a nation. It is reported that Malaysia former National Bowler, Noor Afizal, was sentenced by the session court, upheld by the court of appeal, that he be bound by a RM25,000 good behaviour bond. He thus escape jail sentence. Then a few days later, a electrician, named Chuah Guan Jiu, also charged for Statutory Rape also escape jail. He was to be bound over for three years on a RM25,000 good behaviour bond. Look like the first case has lays precedent for future statutory rape cases. First, the defence team need to work toward projecting the young offender has a bright future, and also it is a first time offender. Also ask the offender to show sight of repentant. Proving bright future wasn't too difficult, I think, because, being a FORMER National Youth squad Bowler, Noor Afizal has a bright future. Sorry...I am blur here...He is a former national bowler, if he has a bright future, what is he contributing to the nation now? Is he still a National Bowler? What achievements had he obtain in recent years to prove that he indeed has bright future? Similar question to Mr. Chuah. He was reported to be earning RM30 per day and only recently got a full time job. He too considered to have a bright future? With these standard and comparison, Malaysia should be full of people with "bright" future. What is statutory rape? My layman understanding is that anyone who has sex (inter-course) with a under-age girl (age 16) would considered as statutory rape, even he has the consent of the girl. In these two cases, it is noted that the girls consent to have sex, but why do we need to have this statutory RAPE ruling then? As I understand, this statutory rape thing is for the protection of these under-age girls. They are too young to understand the risks and consequences of having sex, and it is to prevent these sex-thirsty men into coaxing innocent girls. Sentences for statutory rape under Section 376(1) of the Penal Code carries a maximum jail sentence of 20 years and whipping. Just because these young men has "bright" future, they escape jail and whipping. Did we consider the feeling of the girls? Oh....the girls consent to have sex. I wonder how the parents of the girls feel. Statutory Rape does not take into consideration of the girls consent. I believe one important consideration the judges has is the age of the offenders at the time of offend. They are equally young, thus, they escape the jail and whipping punishment. But, is it sending a wrong message to the public? More people hope that the sentence be more harsh, probably 3-6 months jail sentence. Otherwise, why do we need the law for statutory rape? Or it is only applicable to adult men? Would higher Court overturns the judgement and press for at least minimum jail sentences?

Jessie Ooi...Jessie Ooi

Nobody knows about Jessie Ooi prior to the debate between MCA President Chua Soi Lek and DAp Secretary General Lim Guan Eng, and I believe most people may have forgotten what was said by these 2 Chinese leaders.

Everyone (I assume, as far as I am concern)seems to be more interested in Jessie Ooi. Yes, she is the one who posed a question to Lim Guan Eng, which got her all the attention she needed.

The debate was about Malaysian Chinese at the Political Crossroads, and Jessie Ooi's question leave everyone puzzled. Speaking and later screaming in Mandarin, she say:

"Chief Minister Lim, I am half Penangites, you said just now you wanted to reduce the people's burden, secondly, you all made a lot of money, I want to say that you misleaded the people, because Cukai Pintu (door tax?) increased, everything also increased, including AFTER 10:30pm, I personally witnessed TWICE that the whole street is already no cars, but you still ask your enforcement officers to toll people's car, leading to fights and blood over each head, THIS NATURAL / NATURE(? - I am a chinese and I have problem understanding her Mandarin) problem, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO EXPLAIN? IS THIS WHAT YOU MEAN BY REDUCING THE PEOPLE'S BURDEN???????

To view her 40 seconds question that leads her to immediate fame, please see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VpuZur09OMU

She does not even need to participate in "30 seconds to fame" She did it within 40 seconds at she is now a popular public figure! but for all the wrong reasons.

Let's us get to know her better and understand her background and her rationale of posing such a question. Very quickly, People conduct background check and reveal that she is a MCA Member, holding a position of a CO-ORDINATOR to the Member of Parliament. She is such a small fry that overshadow the President, stealing all the limelight and also inviting all the cursing and swearing from the cyberspace.

Actually, it is not an unexpected outcome, the majority of the people don't really like MCA as they used to prior to March 08, 2008 General Election. So, when such stupid, nonsense question from a nobody, who can't even speak properly, no manner, wrong construction of sentences, screaming, barking badly like a dog (sorry..a bitch, ) from a MCA member directing to DAP Lim, she should know the consequences.

Please do not mistaken that those attacked and make fun of her are DAP members, NO, many people I come across are non-political parties affiliated. They are just ordinary Malaysian. All are discussing and trying to understand her question, which after minutes, concluded that she is insane.

It is later proven that Penang does not increase the Cukai Pintu (Tax) as claimed, and for the tolling incidents, what is wrong wrong with enforcing the law? Is she claiming that after 10:30pm, there is no need to abide to the law? or she thinks that after 10:30pm, all enforcement agencies are off-work? Is that how BN governed?

If Jessie Ooi is not a MCA member, how much difference would the outcome be?
If she is just a public member, then people may forgive her for barking at the wrong tree and pity her, as she is sadden with all these burden. YES! because, under the current government (BN ruling) It is true that EVERYTHING increases, sugar, water, electricity, flour, petrol, housing, etc so, the public may actually think she actually wanted to direct the question to MCA President Chua!

If Jessie Ooi really want to be famous overnight and yet have the people's support, she should have posed a more simple and factual question like:

"President Chua, you admit that you are a low moral person, who betray your wife and commit adultery, how thick skin are you to think that you have the support of the Malaysian Chinese! (scream) You acknowledge that there are corruption and yet you do nothing! What the hell is MCA doing this while!!!!!!!!!"

Jessie Ooi will also instantly become famous, although she will lose her job, but she win a place in everyone's heart. Unfortunately, she asked the wrong question to the wrong person.

1Malaysia Email for All Malaysian above 18 years old

Malaysia never failed to amuse us. This time, they have come up with an ingenious idea to create a 1Malaysia email for all Malaysian aged 18 and above.

This project is to cost RM50million and the Government was quick to add that it is a private business idea and has nothing to do with the Malaysia government, which leave many Malaysian curious about the company that is initiating this project. Tricubes Berhad, a listed company that is under GN3 status, which has been asked by Bursa Malaysia for a financial regularisation plan or risk being delisted.

Interesting, right? While both the Malaysian Government and Tricubes was quick to stressed that it is a private led initiative and no money allocated from the Government. It is then weird that a tender was called last year November, where a few firms were invited to bid for such similar project!

If it is a private-led initiative, why is there a tender exercise? If it is a private business offering, why does Tricubes Berhad notify Bursa Malaysia made such announcement?

“The Board of Directors of TRICUBES wishes to announce that the Company has on 4 April 2011 accepted the appointment by the Government of Malaysia represented by Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) vide MAMPU’s letter of award dated 29 March 2011 to implement the 1 Malaysia Email Project.

TRICUBES will enter into a definitive agreement with Government of Malaysia to finalise the detailed terms and conditions of the appointment in due course. This announcement is dated 4 April 2011"

AND the Malaysia Government assure us that it is a private business deal that no public funds will be used? Hmmm...... Are you having a feeling that the Government is insulting our intelligent?

What is more amazing AND amusing is that Tricubes chief executive Khairun Zainal Mokhtar was clueless on how the company can make money from this project!! So, if it is REALLY private funded project, how can he not able to know how to profit from it?? of course, unless it is funded by the Malaysia Government. So, Najib, can you stop fooling us? Oh...by the way...you were not elected to be the PM, you inherited..so, why not quickly call for a General Election to have your much needed mandate?

WHO is so smart to think of giving all Malaysian a free email? Is Malaysia enjoying a 100% internet penetration? What is the domain name to be used? How do you resolved people having the same name? Are you going to ban access from gmail, hotmail, Yahoomail etc? if not, why build something when it is ALREADY FREE?

Would I use your free email? I have plenty of emails account given to me, what streamyx la, when signed-up with streamyx which I do not use at all, so, why would I brother to use your what 1Malaysia email?

Get to know Abdul Razak Musa Better - One of Malaysia best comedian Lawyer

The recent court hearing for Teoh Beng Hock death case on 18 August 2010 has help Malaysia to discover a special talent for one of its "so call" top lawyer, who act for The Malaysia Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC). After this screen play, MACC has got itself a new acronym, that is Malaysia Associations of Circus Clowns. Thanks to Abdul Razak Musa.

So, let review some of his key performance that indisputably earns him this title of chief Clown:

Abdul Razak Musa suggested that Teoh Beng Hock ‘strangled himself’ and was ‘depressive'. Not only so, he was determine to demonstrate to the public how it can be done when challenged by the Gobind Singh Deo, the lawyer for Teoh’s family. Unfortunately, he failed in self-strangling himself.

In his attempt to discredit Pornthip's professional qualification by citing that Pornthip's graduating university; Mahidol University, was not recognized by the Malaysia Government. He failed to realized that Mahidol University's Global Ranking is higher than any Malaysia Universities. It is unfortunate that Abdul Razak Musa did not reveal where he was graduated. He should have the chance when asked by Pornthip: "are you really a lawyer?" Instead of replying that he may look young, but has over 24 years of experience, he should just state where he graduated because 24 years of experience still make he a fool.

Abdul Razak Musa classic question of asking Pornthip if she ever has the experience of jumping off a building? This is what we can expect from a lawyer with 24 years of experience??

Abdul Razak Musa's attempted to discredit Pornthip failed miserably, he should know that Pornthip has been named the "Most Trusted Individual in all of Thailand (according to a Readers’ Digest Trust survey last year) Abdul Razak Musa should have commissioned Reader Digest to conduct another survey, title the most entertaining Lawyer in the world, and we would gladly nominate him.

This is another interesting collection of Malaysia Boleh tales and we can look forward to more when thousand of Malaysian graduated from Malaysia education systems.

Mr. DPM, What's wrong to have similar stand with the Opposition?

I read the Star Newspaper on 4 August and find it amazing that MCA has been ticked off by the deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia for singing in tune to the opposition calls for the lifting of the ban on the use of the word Allah.

MCA has quickly responded that they are not making the same stand as DAP, they are just voicing out the wish of the NGO because the issue has not been resolved since it was brought up last year.

Hahaha..funny right? MCA is good at playing with words. But, so what if MCA share the same view with DAP or any opposition parties. You should not object just for the seek of objecting. Malaysia politician should be more mature in thinking. So MCA president should reply to DPM: "so what? This issue has not been resolved after 1 year, it will not get resolved if the top leaders refuse to look seriously look into it. What do you mean leave it to the court? Had the court not given it verdict?"

The court verdict is that word Allah cannot be banned. That is the decision of the court.

Just because the opposition say this, the government must say that? So, just because the opposition calls for Malaysian to be more environmental friendly, such as No Plastic bags on Saturday in the State of Selangor (Oope..the opposition is the government for Selangor State Government), the Government (Federal) refuse to follow suit? Shame..shame..shame...

Anyway, it look like the opposition is a more innovative and responsible government to be. :)

Keep Bumi-Housing Discount, not 7% but increase to 15%, Terms and Condition applys

The recent suggestion by Petaling Jaya (Utara) MP Tony Pua Kiam Wee for the abolishment of bumiputera discounts on properties worth more than RM500,000 in Selangor was not well-received.

I think to ask for total removal of the Bumi discount is too much that many Bumi cannot accept. But, think deeper, if a bumi is able to afford a RM500,000 house, he is no difference from many non-bumi. I think he would feel better, higher ego and self esteem that he is now at par with many of his non-bumi in the neighborhood. Otherwise, we will continue to view these staying in the same Taman as those "special" aided few.

Instead of offering 7% discount across the board, I would proposed reduce it to 2% discount and the remaining 5% put aside by the developer in a special fund for 10% discount for Housing costing less than RM100,000 or 15% for RM50,000 houses. The main objective of the Bumi-discount is to help those in need, so that many are able to afford a house. Asking for this discount to be extended to non-bumi, who are many equally in need of help may prove to be hard to sallow for many Malays, who are still racist to view these as their special rights. For those who think as such, truly view themselves as Malay and not Malaysian. Thus, until they are able to accept that Helps should be offer to all in need, irregardless of race, then Malaysia can be united. Otherwise, the 1Malaysia concept failed.

My suggestion: For Houses costing RM500,000 above, Bumi get 2% discount (RM10,000), remaining RM25,000 set aside. For Housing costing between RM300,000 to RM499,999 - 5% discount and remaining 2% set aside.
For Housing costing below RM300,000, full 7% discount and for housing below RM100,000 (10% discount) and those below RM50,000 (15% discount) These extra discount (10% and 15%) are subsidized by those Bumi who buy properties above RM 300,000.

In this way, it is the richer Bumi helping the poorer Bumi, no trace of any racial element. I am not asking for your right removal, but asking you (the richer one) to help your poorer brother! Don;t you want to be noble?
