Ong Tee Keat adopts Online Strategy, while Chua Soi Lek has a blogsite and Ong Ka Ting Page not found!

The BN government partially blamed losing the 13th General Election due to the failure of engaging the Public through online interaction.

Now, with the MCA election round the corner, it is surprisingly strange that apart from Ong Tee Keat, Chua Soi Lek uses a blog site and Ong Ka Ting’s website return error 404 page not found!

Ong Tee Keat’s website is most impressive compare to the others. His site; www.ongteekeat.net is up to date and information with link to facebook and twitter, while Chua Soi Lek’s blog site is less impressive with limited information. No need to mention about Ong Ka Ting. www.ongkating.com is a site full of advertisements and www.ongkating.net is 404 errors.

We usually check out a company corporate site to have an insight to a company’s culture and philosophy, just as we check out a restaurant’s restroom to see what likely is happening in their kitchen. So, it speaks well for Ong Tee Keat for having a well constructed and informative website, while it is less convincing for Chua Soi Lek and nothing for Ong Ka Ting.

I support Ong Tee Keat, but I am not a MCA member

MCA Election on 28 March 2010 would be closely followed by many non-MCA members.

Although, it seem none of our business, but being the Chinese representative in the BN lead government, I believe many Chinese are still concern about MCA stability. Yes, we have earlier punished MCA by not voting MCA candidates; it is because we believe that MCA has not been able to truly voice out our dissatisfaction to UMNO. MCA has long been viewed by most people as the puppets of UMNO, thus, it make no sense to vote for them. Instead, we opt for the opposition, thus, in a way, benefited DAP as well as PAS. I have many Chinese friends who prefer to vote for PAS instead of MCA.

Yes, we may have written off MCA in the last election, but ever since Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat has been elected as MCA president, the many changes that he has initiated and his daring exposure of PKFZ, coupled with many good comments about his personality, many Chinese are coming back to support him.

With him leading MCA into the next election, I foresee, that he will be able to bring many Chinese back to support MCA, provided he win this 28 March MCA Election together with his team mates. Otherwise, the Chinese Community will continue to reject MCA, for the other 2 presidency candidates do not really earn the support of the Chinese. One was involved in a sex scandal, and one leads to the downfall of MCA.

I cannot accept the notion that a tinted leader can gain the support of the public. We are talking about political visions, policies etc that will transact to government policies, rules and laws. How can a leader with such low moral value lead us? He may have the support of the MCA members and if he wins, which will then make us, the common people to think, who are those MCA members? How can they accept such leader? Thus, in the end……could lead to the total rejection of MCA! MCA will then continue to be rejected by the people and they will suffer even worse than March 08 election!

I support Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, so do many non MCA members I believe, but we have no direct influence to the election result, so, I appeal to the MCA delegates, cast your vote wisely, for you will ultimately face us in few months to come.
