This time, they have come up with an ingenious idea to create a 1Malaysia email for all Malaysian aged 18 and above.

This project is to cost RM50million and the Government was quick to add that it is a private business idea and has nothing to do with the Malaysia government, which leave many Malaysian curious about the company that is initiating this project. Tricubes Berhad, a listed company that is under GN3 status, which has been asked by Bursa Malaysia for a financial regularisation plan or risk being delisted.

Interesting, right? While both the Malaysian Government and Tricubes was quick to stressed that it is a private led initiative and no money allocated from the Government. It is then weird that a tender was called last year November, where a few firms were invited to bid for such similar project!

If it is a private-led initiative, why is there a tender exercise? If it is a private business offering, why does Tricubes Berhad notify Bursa Malaysia made such announcement?

“The Board of Directors of TRICUBES wishes to announce that the Company has on 4 April 2011 accepted the appointment by the Government of Malaysia represented by Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) vide MAMPU’s letter of award dated 29 March 2011 to implement the 1 Malaysia Email Project.

TRICUBES will enter into a definitive agreement with Government of Malaysia to finalise the detailed terms and conditions of the appointment in due course. This announcement is dated 4 April 2011"

AND the Malaysia Government assure us that it is a private business deal that no public funds will be used? Hmmm...... Are you having a feeling that the Government is insulting our intelligent?

What is more amazing AND amusing is that Tricubes chief executive Khairun Zainal Mokhtar was clueless on how the company can make money from this project!! So, if it is REALLY private funded project, how can he not able to know how to profit from it?? of course, unless it is funded by the Malaysia Government. So, Najib, can you stop fooling us? Oh...by the way...you were not elected to be the PM, you inherited..so, why not quickly call for a General Election to have your much needed mandate?

WHO is so smart to think of giving all Malaysian a free email? Is Malaysia enjoying a 100% internet penetration? What is the domain name to be used? How do you resolved people having the same name? Are you going to ban access from gmail, hotmail, Yahoomail etc? if not, why build something when it is ALREADY FREE?

Would I use your free email? I have plenty of emails account given to me, what streamyx la, when signed-up with streamyx which I do not use at all, so, why would I brother to use your what 1Malaysia email?

Interesting Domain Name

I has stumbled into this site and I think the domain name speak for itself. After this screen play, MACC has got itself a new acronym, that is Malaysia Associations of Circus Clowns. Thanks to Abdul Razak Musa.

So, let review some of his key performance that indisputably earns him this title of chief Clown:

Abdul Razak Musa suggested that Teoh Beng Hock ‘strangled himself’ and was ‘depressive'. Not only so, he was determine to demonstrate to the public how it can be done when challenged by the Gobind Singh Deo, the lawyer for Teoh’s family. Unfortunately, he failed in self-strangling himself.

In his attempt to discredit Pornthip's professional qualification by citing that Pornthip's graduating university; Mahidol University, was not recognized by the Malaysia Government. He failed to realized that Mahidol University's Global Ranking is higher than any Malaysia Universities. It is unfortunate that Abdul Razak Musa did not reveal where he was graduated. He should have the chance when asked by Pornthip: "are you really a lawyer?" Instead of replying that he may look young, but has over 24 years of experience, he should just state where he graduated because 24 years of experience still make he a fool.

Abdul Razak Musa classic question of asking Pornthip if she ever has the experience of jumping off a building? This is what we can expect from a lawyer with 24 years of experience??

Abdul Razak Musa's attempted to discredit Pornthip failed miserably, he should know that Pornthip has been named the "Most Trusted Individual in all of Thailand (according to a Readers’ Digest Trust survey last year) Abdul Razak Musa should have commissioned Reader Digest to conduct another survey, title the most entertaining Lawyer in the world, and we would gladly nominate him.

This is another interesting collection of Malaysia Boleh tales and we can look forward to more when thousand of Malaysian graduated from Malaysia education systems.

Mr. DPM, What's wrong to have similar stand with the Opposition?

I read the Star Newspaper on 4 August and find it amazing that MCA has been ticked off by the deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia for singing in tune to the opposition calls for the lifting of the ban on the use of the word Allah.

MCA has quickly responded that they are not making the same stand as DAP, they are just voicing out the wish of the NGO because the issue has not been resolved since it was brought up last year.

Hahaha..funny right? MCA is good at playing with words. But, so what if MCA share the same view with DAP or any opposition parties. You should not object just for the seek of objecting. Malaysia politician should be more mature in thinking. So MCA president should reply to DPM: "so what? This issue has not been resolved after 1 year, it will not get resolved if the top leaders refuse to look seriously look into it. What do you mean leave it to the court? Had the court not given it verdict?"

The court verdict is that word Allah cannot be banned. That is the decision of the court.

Just because the opposition say this, the government must say that? So, just because the opposition calls for Malaysian to be more environmental friendly, such as No Plastic bags on Saturday in the State of Selangor (Oope..the opposition is the government for Selangor State Government), the Government (Federal) refuse to follow suit? Shame..shame..shame...

Anyway, it look like the opposition is a more innovative and responsible government to be. :)

Keep Bumi-Housing Discount, not 7% but increase to 15%, Terms and Condition applys

The recent suggestion by Petaling Jaya (Utara) MP Tony Pua Kiam Wee for the abolishment of bumiputera discounts on properties worth more than RM500,000 in Selangor was not well-received.

I think to ask for total removal of the Bumi discount is too much that many Bumi cannot accept. But, think deeper, if a bumi is able to afford a RM500,000 house, he is no difference from many non-bumi. I think he would feel better, higher ego and self esteem that he is now at par with many of his non-bumi in the neighborhood. Otherwise, we will continue to view these staying in the same Taman as those "special" aided few.

Instead of offering 7% discount across the board, I would proposed reduce it to 2% discount and the remaining 5% put aside by the developer in a special fund for 10% discount for Housing costing less than RM100,000 or 15% for RM50,000 houses. The main objective of the Bumi-discount is to help those in need, so that many are able to afford a house. Asking for this discount to be extended to non-bumi, who are many equally in need of help may prove to be hard to sallow for many Malays, who are still racist to view these as their special rights. For those who think as such, truly view themselves as Malay and not Malaysian. Thus, until they are able to accept that Helps should be offer to all in need, irregardless of race, then Malaysia can be united. Otherwise, the 1Malaysia concept failed.

My suggestion: For Houses costing RM500,000 above, Bumi get 2% discount (RM10,000), remaining RM25,000 set aside. For Housing costing between RM300,000 to RM499,999 - 5% discount and remaining 2% set aside.
For Housing costing below RM300,000, full 7% discount and for housing below RM100,000 (10% discount) and those below RM50,000 (15% discount) These extra discount (10% and 15%) are subsidized by those Bumi who buy properties above RM 300,000.

In this way, it is the richer Bumi helping the poorer Bumi, no trace of any racial element. I am not asking for your right removal, but asking you (the richer one) to help your poorer brother! Don;t you want to be noble?

Who is Keshwinder Singh?

Who are you? What real achievements have you got before you are given the opportunity to contest in Malim Nawar state seat?

You think you really win because of you? I don't think so. The same apply to many Pakatan elected representatives. You win in the 308 Election, because the People are sick of Barisan Nasional, no because of you. You are voted in because you are with DAP, PKR or PAS. Seriously, anyone stand for election during 8 March has a high change of winning, simply because the people just wish for a change. It has nothing to do with you!

On March 8, I went into the poll station and put a cross to someone I do not know, it is very simple, just look for the BN logo and cross the other box. So, any candidates that does not belong to BN has a good chance of winning.

What do you mean by saying:"I now realise that only Barisan can bring progress and prosperity to the people. I hope this decision will help me serve my constituents better," WAIT....You does not have the support of the people of Malim Nawar!

It is fine if you now love Zimbry and BN, because the people can also choose not to love you. Resign and let the people decide. If you think you have the support of the people, fear not. Why are we doubting the quality of local universities?

I find it hard to understand our Minister's mentality. Why send bright student to low graded local universities? Is it because bright students can help bring up the local university standard? If this argument is accepted, no wonder Malaysia remains where it is today.

Why doubt our local universities? I don't know except in the same paper (the Star 15 June 2010) it is reported that Nor Ashman (the youngest son of Najib) was studying in Georgetown University in Washington DC two years ago. Why was he no studying in University Malaya, or USM, UTM etc?

Please make it a point that all Ministers can only send their children to local universities to help lift the universities standard before denying our brights students. Anyway, I think our brights students can easily get scholarships from others countries. Just don't blame them later and label them as ungrateful.

Ibrahim Demands Jala quit over "bankrupt" remark, Shall we vote?

Ibrahim Ali has demanded that Datuk Seri Idris Jala resign from the Cabinet over his earlier remarks that the Malaysia would be bankrupt if subsidies were not cut.

hmm.....interesting...While the Government intention to cut subsidies was not really supported by the people, mainly because the current cost of living is already high. We are not objecting to the removal of subsidies, if it is seriously necessary. What we are furious is that the Government has not been successful in curbing corruption, where a bigger saving would help cushion the people impact to raising cost. So, before we talk about removing subsidies, please start to remove those deem corrupted Government officers. btw...what happen to PKFTZ?

Back to Ibrahim Ali proposal. Datuk Seri Idris Jala is not a politician, he does not play all these games, we can't blame him. How about Prostitution?

It was reported in 15 June 2010 theStar newspaper that Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has supported the legalization of Sports Betting, saying that this will help legalize the industry as well as thwart illegal gambling. He added that Sport betting is for the non-Muslim and it is their right to gamble and the Government could not forbid them from gambling. It was also supported by backbencher Datuk Bung Mokhtar.

This is interesting as after reading this, leads me to think that prostitution may one day be legalized in Malaysia. Going along the rationale of thinking. Legalizing Prostitution would help legalize the industry as well as thwart illegal prostitution. Prostitution is for the non-Muslim and it is their right to seek prostitute service and the Government cannot forbid them from prostituting.

Going further, maybe one day, drug may be easily available. Instead of blaming poor enforcement, where it seems that the authorities are fighting a losing game, the Government can easily turn the table around and start "legalizing" many things. Starting with sports betting, maybe prostitution. WHY NOT?? Singapore has done it. Amsterdam is attracting many tourists. Legalizing Prostitution helps the Government to keep AIDs / HIV at bay, increase Tax collection, increase jobs opportunities, attract more tourists, earn more Forex.

Similarly, apply this to anything current illegal, look like the Government has more to gain.

The Government seems no long keen in maintaining the moral level of its citizen, she is more interested in increasing tax collection.

Would legalizing Sport betting put a stop to illegal bookies? I don't think so. Malaysia has legalized 4D prediction game, you have Sports Toto, Magnum , Damacai and well as those in Sarawak. But, it does not eliminate illegal underground bookies.

So, with legalized sports betting, you are opening up the accessibility for more and younger Malaysian to gamble. At present, those who wish to engage in Sports betting would need at least a credit card to transact online, but with easy accessibility to outlets and cash, people can easily gamble away their hard-earning money. And it seems the Government does not bother about the future social problems that it may create.

So, to sum it, if you can legalized something illegal now, then there is nothing really illegal, it just depend on how skillful and tough negotiators a businessman can be. If one day, someone wish to make drug consuming legalized and willing to donate a few billions to the Government and using the same argument, What will Malaysia end up as?

Sigh!! This is Malaysia lah.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thisismalaysialah.blogspot.com/2010/06/dr-m-make-sports-betting-legal-how.html' title='Dr M: Make Sports Betting Legal. The Petronas Twin Towers first and followed by Genting Highland (the Casino)which technically not in Kuala Lumpur. I really do not know where else to take them, unless you consider central market or Jalan Petaling. No way, you dare to take them to our Zoo Negera, or the bird Park. Forget about the Museum, I have not been there for more than 2 decades.

When reaching Genting Highland, Many of my overseas friends really enjoy it, for they have been suffering enough of Malaysia weather. The cooling environment Genting Highland has to offer really leave behind pleasant memory.

Touring Genting Highland will then lead them to the Casino which many would acclaimed: "I thought Malaysia is a Islamic Country" or "I thought gambling is not allowed here."

Eeeerrrrr....I don't know how to answer them. "Hehehe..This is Malaysia lah... The Government awarded the only Casino licence to Genting so that the Government can collect more taxes.. hehehe...anyway, Muslim are not allowed in". I explained.

The Chinese are the one who has this gambling culture, so this Casino is to please the non-muslim...hehehe....but wait!!! China has no CASINO!! so, it cannot be a Chinese culture! Nor do Taiwan has a Casino. So, why Malaysia has a Casino? hmmmm....

So, having a Casino is not enough, The Malaysia Government must be short of funds, for it now considering re-issuing a sports betting license to AscortSports to allow sports betting. The argument is that the Government is losing the opportunity to collect billions of taxes, thus, legalizing sports betting would help to improve the Government cash flows.

Many people objected this decision, thus, it is unclear if the Government would proceed to issue out this license. If the Government for whatever reasons proceed to legalized Sports betting, why was not it open to all interested parties to bet for this ONLY License? If the Government intention is to increase the tax money, should the Government mange it herself? Why collect 20% or 30% tax ( I don't know the percentage) when you can take all the profits. I think that will surely benefit the people.

I think, of the many people opposing to awarding the sports betting license to Ascortsports, maybe a huge portion actually does not like the ideas of Berjaya given the first rights of refusal. Who in this world would reject a monopoly license?

so, if Ascortsports is legalized despite objections from the people, I would not know how to explain to many of my foreign friends.

Anyway, if the Government refuse to listen to the people, then the Government should not blamed the people when it come to judgement day!

I am Malaysian First, Chinese Second! But now I think I am a Chinese, forget about being a Malaysian

When the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia claimed that he is Malay First and Malaysian Second, I do not think he is fit to be the Leader of Malaysia. He is only fit to be the leader of Umno.

Malaysia, after more than 50 years of independence still cannot shed away the racial thinking. With the DPM thinking so narrowly and EVEN supported by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, it seems that Malaysia will not be a truly coherence nation, like Thailand, Vietnam and may be even Singapore.

I believe the Chinese in Singapore and Malaysia would introduce themselves as Singaporean or Malaysian first, followed by clarifying themselves as Singapore Chinese or Malaysia Chinese. So, it is Malaysia first, Chinese second. How difficult is it for both our DPM and PM to consider themselves as Malaysia Malay? Or are they telling us that there is only Malays in Malaysia, other "Malays" from other Countries are not true Malays?

Whatever it is, the Prime Minister's shout of 1Malaysia concept does not fit with such mentality of “I am Malay first, Malaysian Second”. If every Malaysian says the same, I am Chinese first Malaysia second and echoed by the Indian community of I am Indian first, Malaysian Second, we will not be heading toward creating a "Malaysian" mentality. Malaysia will continue to be divided by racial community. I got the feeling it is what the MALAY leaders really want.

Look like the only way to become a truly and only Malaysian is through cross marriage.

What can the ordinary folks do when our Top Leader has such thinking, even after more than 50 years of independence!

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thisismalaysialah.blogspot.com/2010/04/i-am-malaysian-first-chinese-second-but.html' title='I am Malaysian First, Chinese Second! His site; www.ongteekeat.net is up to date and information with link to facebook and twitter, while Chua Soi Lek’s blog site is less impressive with limited information. No need to mention about Ong Ka Ting. www.ongkating.com is a site full of advertisements and www.ongkating.net is 404 errors.

We usually check out a company corporate site to have an insight to a company’s culture and philosophy, just as we check out a restaurant’s restroom to see what likely is happening in their kitchen. Yes, we have earlier punished MCA by not voting MCA candidates; it is because we believe that MCA has not been able to truly voice out our dissatisfaction to UMNO. MCA has long been viewed by most people as the puppets of UMNO, thus, it make no sense to vote for them. Instead, we opt for the opposition, thus, in a way, benefited DAP as well as PAS. I have many Chinese friends who prefer to vote for PAS instead of MCA.

Yes, we may have written off MCA in the last election, but ever since Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat has been elected as MCA president, the many changes that he has initiated and his daring exposure of PKFZ, coupled with many good comments about his personality, many Chinese are coming back to support him.

With him leading MCA into the next election, I foresee, that he will be able to bring many Chinese back to support MCA, provided he win this 28 March MCA Election together with his team mates. Otherwise, the Chinese Community will continue to reject MCA, for the other 2 presidency candidates do not really earn the support of the Chinese. One was involved in a sex scandal, and one leads to the downfall of MCA.

I cannot accept the notion that a tinted leader can gain the support of the public. We are talking about political visions, policies etc that will transact to government policies, rules and laws. How can a leader with such low moral value lead us? He may have the support of the MCA members and if he wins, which will then make us, the common people to think, who are those MCA members? How can they accept such leader? Thus, in the end……could lead to the total rejection of MCA! MCA will then continue to be rejected by the people and they will suffer even worse than March 08 election!

I support Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat, so do many non MCA members I believe, but we have no direct influence to the election result, so, I appeal to the MCA delegates, cast your vote wisely, for you will ultimately face us in few months to come.

Suspension Bridge built for Free, who to be blamed?

The newly-constructed suspension bridge that gave way, caused 3 death recently was reported to be built free.

The question that come to my mind is..why is the bridge built for free? When it is build for free, what is the liability of the constructor? Was there any specification that the constructor is oblige to abide to? There could be unclear specification as to the weight that the suspension bridge can support.

Before all finger is pointing to the constructor, should we also ask who draw the specification? Was the specification meant to support more than 15 people crossing at anytime? Furthermore, who is so good that he/she managed to convince the company to build the bridge for FREE?

So, thing is getting complicated now. Maybe the original specification is to build the bridge capable to support at least 20 people at anytime, but because it is to be build free of charge, the requirement may be lowered to support 10 people only?

Can the government provide us more details as to what is the required specifications? Can the government also answer why is the bridge build by a company for free?

If the government can get the bridge to be build free, can they get the company to build government hostel for free too? Buloh Prison?

Oh my god... Raja Petra's son is beaten daily in the Sg. Buloh Prison in all attempts to force him to pled guilty to all charges. This is reported in Raja Petra's blog (http://mt.m2day.org/2008/content/view/28119/84/)

This is a dirty tactic used by our Government to force Raja Petra out from his hiding? Instead of trying to hunt RPK down, they choose the easier route. Beating his son, so to make RPK feel bad that he is the root cause to his son's suffering. I can imagine how bad a father would feel about it.

But I am furious!!! How can a Government resorts to such inhuman tactic! I wonder if the police would investigate, or it is the work of the police?

If such claim by Raja Petra is true, what guarantee that man in the street like us will be protected from any injustice? How much faith can we place on our Government?

This naturally lead me to think if the same was actually forced onto Teoh Hock Beng, forcing him to admit and accuse the same to his boss, which result in a tragedy.

Whatever the outcome of the inquiry, public opinion has been formed, and I fear that more and more people are losing faith in the present Malaysian Government unless drastic clean-up efforst are been done. Suggested areas to work on first are:

1. Altantuya C4 Case
2. Lingam correct correc correct case
3. PKFTZ
4. Former Selangor MB Shah Alam Mansion
5. Teoh Hock Beng
6. Whoever mentioned in the Auditor-General Report

Anymore? The government understands that Malaysian are generally forgetful, so I think it is important that we constantly remind ourselves of these outstanding cases, which we shall repeatly remind them when the general election come.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thisismalaysialah.blogspot.com/2009/10/raja-petras-son-beaten-in-sg-buloh.html' title='Raja Petra's Son beaten in Sg. This is a big government but once we start the key performance indicators and national key result areas, it will be a lot better."

What does this means? Are you saying that you are not going after those mentioned in the Auditor-General report? We are not keen about your Future KPI, we are keen that you take immediate action against those who misused the public funds!

According to the newspaper, Najib said the most important thing after the exposure was for the state governments, agencies and departments that had been taken to task by the auditor-general to take certain measures.

"We must take certain steps, for instance, punitive action. This is usually not seen.

"We need to reward performers while those who transgress (flout the rules and regulations) should face punitive action."

This needed to be done as part and parcel of good governance, Najib added.

So, it is nice to hear these, but it has been four days and we have seen no follow-up actions. I wonder what will happen 2 week later. When the main stream media start to raise other issues, which most people now talk about the 2009 Budget, the public will slowly forget about Auditor-General report and the Culprits go harmless.
The Auditor-General as been highlighting areas of weaknesses year in year out, but years after years, we hear the same report.

If Najib is serious about correcting the wrongs, he should instruct MACC to investigate all parties mentioned in the Auditor-General report from 2002 till now. Show us that you are serious in reform, otherwise, people will start losing faith in your leadership.

RHB Bank Slow to response to Plishing Site

In my nature of Work, I would frequently come across many phishing sites. Upon detecting a phishing, I would naturally notify respective banks so that they can take immediate action to take down these phishing sites.

For those who do not understand the term "Phishing", it is merely a fake site set-up by malicious parties, hoping to mislead public into revealing their online details such as User name and password. Upon securing these details, they will login to the bank online system and transfer all your money before you realised it.

Thus, it is common that well established banks are always targeted. Maybank and CIMB bank are commonly attacked. However, I am aware that these banks engage professional Anti-Phishing Services to take down phishing site attaking them.

My past experience with these banks are quite good. Upon alerting them, it take usually 1-2 days before the site is taken down. However, the same cannot be said about RHB bank.

Here is a link to a phishing site (http://fmtnetlog.freewebhostx.com/RHBonline.update.htm) which was alerted to RHB via email (customer_service@rhbbank.com.my) on October 22, 2009.
Neither did I receive any confirmation email that they are acting on this report.

Although, the look and feel of this phishing site is not exactly the same, but it still bears the RHB logo. Thus, there is no reasons why RHB should not act against it.

Let's see how long does it take before RHB takes actions.

Ban Condoms??

Next time when you see Condom, you must remember this name: Zulkifli Noordin.

Who is Zulkifli Noordin? He is a Malaysian MP (Member of Parliament) who has submitted a private member's bill to call for a ban on Convenience store from selling Condoms and Beer.

Why? It could be because in his eye, Condoms are only used by less moral people. And Beer, being conveniently available to Muslim youth would cause them to be derailed from their belief.

I am just wondering why these people’s beliefs are so weak that they can easily get distracted from their teaching. I think calling for such a ban is an insult to most people.

Condoms is vital in stopping the spread of HIVs / AIDs, it is used for family planning and safe sex, not Free Sex. Beer if consume moderately is actually good for health, although it is forbidden to Muslim. Thus, if Zulkifli Noordin wishes to call for a ban, then he should push for the banning of cigarette sales. Not just in convenience store, but include sundry store, supermarket and hypermarket. I will surely lend him my support!

There is no justifiable benefits to smoking, it will definitely appeal to most people, except the smokers, but, they will thanks him later on for saving their life and money.

Ban smoking would help Malaysia Government save millions in educational advertisements, need not have the limited hospital beds filled by these lungs cancer patients.

Unless there are things that are more harmful than smoking, otherwise, stopping calling for banning this, banning that.

Banning Beers...then, ban Condoms, then ban Horror Movie...what next?
Ban Internet? Because of pornography?
Ban Astro? Because of beauty pageant contest?
Ban Concert? Because Hair not cover?
Ban 3G? Because can access to internet?
Ban game console? This is mainly because the Malaysia Government has been promoting the "Malaysia Can" slogan, commonly known as "Malaysia Boleh".

Malaysia Government has been very successfully in breeding super talented entrepreneurs who are the best marketer in the world. Their ability to market a common item and have it sold for more than 10 times higher than market price to many Government agencies put many Chartered Marketers from the prestigious Chartered Institute of Marketing, UK, to shame.

This group of Malaysian Entrepreneurs need not apply basic Marketing principles, forget about the 4Ps or 7Ps, (Product, Promotion, Place, Price, People, Process, Physical Evidence) they most probably need to apply 3B, that is Bribe, Bribe and Bribe.

Need prove of their ability? If they can sell to a Collage 2 unit of Acer Notebook (Acer Aspire-5052ANWXMI) which based on www.naaptol.com published price of Rs27,490 each (RM2,000.00) for a whopping price of RM42,320 each!! Total selling price for 2 units of Acer Aspire-5052ANWXMI is RM84,640.00!! Although, it is unclear when these 2 units of Acer Notebook has been sold, and the market price then could be slightly higher, but definiely not anywhere 5 digits.

To further proven their marketing skill, they manage to sell it to a College! It is report in the Star newspaper that this college is Kolej Kemahiran Tinggi Mara Balik Pulau in Penang.

I wonder what will be the quality of this college product.

Conclusion? Anything can happen in the Land known as Malaysia. This is Malaysia lah, truly Malaysia! Amazing Malaysia!

1 Malaysia F1 team

Malaysian are sooner or later going to forget the Rukun Negara as the most talk about theme today is 1 Malaysia! Billboard, Newspaper as well as radio ads are all about 1 Malaysia. Now, more exciting is the 1 Malaysia F1 team.

Although, it is a private business venture initiated by Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes, Datuk Kamarudin Meranun and SM Nasarudin SM Nasimudin as reported in the Star newspaper. I wonder how it is possible if it is without the government support? Honda Motor has recent announced exiting the F1, cited heavy investment and losses, thus, it would become a worldwide business case study if Datuk Seri Tony Fernandes and team are able to make this venture profitable within 1 year! That will be truly Malaysia boleh!

There is nothing really impossible in Malaysia! The Bakun Dam, The PKFZ, The C4 etc.
It is really not too difficult to be profitable in this 1MF1T venture. What needed is only sponsorship, so it does not really matters if the team is able to win, what really needed is the solid support from various interested companies to place their logos on the 1MF1T car. We can really count on Petronas, TM, Genting, Axiata, MAS, AirAsia, Proton, Malaysia Tourism Board, Sime Darby, Berjaya etc.

Their reasoning is simple and easy to understand, it would be much more expensive to place their logos onto other F1 teams. Never mind if the 1MF1T does not win, this is the 1Malaysia spirit which the government is promoting.

The 1Malaysia promotion is so successful that we will soon have 1Malaysia Hostel, 1Malaysia Durian, 1malaysia University, 1Malaysia Hotel, 1Malaysia Satay, 1Malaysia Hospital, 1Malaysia Party!

This is Malaysia lah! So, anything can happen!

After .com / .net/ .org/ .biz and Info, now comes .tel

Not many people are aware that there are actually a lot more domain extensions, apart from the most common .com / .net /.org extension. 9/10 wouls still have the mis-conception that .com stands for commercial, .net for internet related business and .org solely reserved for Non-profit organization. These are not true! Anyone is free to register for a .org extension if they wanted too, subject of course availability.

But apart from com net org, there are secondary generic Top level domains which hope to offer more choices, just in case your desired names are no longer available in .com. you may want to consider .Biz / .info /.name /.Asia and lastly .tel.

.Tel is a interesting extension as it does not require you to subscribe to hosting service such .tel is positioned to be an electronic business card or name card. A sample of a great .tel domain which I find it useful is www.mobileyp.tel, a global contact directory which listed some emergency / useful numbers of various Asian countries.

We need to understand that all other domain extensions are meant for desktop viewing, except .tel extension which is specially cater to mobile phone viewing. Thus, you will realize that the format of any .tel extension is standardized, which I supposed are optimized for most mobile phone surfing.

Another feature of .tel are all contact information published in .tel domain are click-to-call enabled. Thus, saving much hassle to remember or copy the contact information. You click to the contact numbers and your phone immediately make that call. Your email / outlook open for you to compose your message when you click to the email address. Your instant messager or Skype activated when you click to the chat icon. or skype call.

With such amazing features, it is sad that Malaysian has yet to realize the usefulness of a .tel extension. Image if Maybank has registered Maybank.tel, it could be used as a contact directory if it is organized to what www.mobileyp.tel has done.

It will take many years before Malaysian really catch up...Sigh! What to do? This is Malaysia lah!

No touch n Go card? No entry to Malaysia - This is Malaysia Lah!

This is Malaysia lah!

Do you think that the Malaysia Government has placed serious thought about making things convenience for the people? If the Malaysia Government does not even bother to make life easy and convenience for its Citizen, such as waiving off RM0.50 charges for every top-up into your T&G cards as well as not charging extra when using T&G card for your parking, do not expect that they would bother to make things easy for Foreigners.

What monopoly is for? It is for certain special group of people to make quick and easy money. Imagine if there are 200,000 T&G cards in circulation, each with a credit of RM100, that will be RM20,000,000 cash. Each card does a top-up once a month, that will make RM100,000 per month or RM1,200,000 net profit.

No wonder they are forcing Singaporeans to get a T&G card before they enter Malaysia......This is Malaysia la

27 Sept 2009 JOHOR BARU: Commuters of the Second Link in Tanjung Kupang are finding it a hassle since the toll plaza there no longer accepts cash payment.
Technician Ruzman Khairul, 44, a Singaporean, said he felt inconvenienced because the Touch ‘n Go or SmartTAG could only be bought in Malaysia.
“Touch ‘n Go cards should also be sold in Singapore so that we can be prepared before we come here,” he said.
Although the system would help ease traffic, he said, there should still be an option for people who pay with cash.
PLUS Expressways Bhd had earlier annnounced that all toll transactions at the Tanjung Kupang toll plaza would be conducted electronically starting Sept 14. No reason was provided.
Another Singaporean, Rohaidi Khamis, 30, said the new move was inconvenient to infrequent users. The school teacher said many commuters were unaware of the cashless system at the toll plaza.
Ivan Jensen, 52, felt that there should have been more publicity on the matter prior to its implementation.
The engineer from Denmark said commuters who did not use the Second Link regularly would be the most affected. “They probably would not know about the system until they reach the toll booth.”
Another businessman, known only as Tham, said motorists from Singapore would be endangering their lives as they would have to park their car by the roadside, then cross over to the other side of the busy route to purchase the card.
Gelang Patah MP Tan Ah Heng said PLUS should have sought feedback from the public before implementing such a system.
Toll charges should also be reviewed to make it more attractive for motorists, she said, adding that she would write to PLUS and the Public Works Department soon.
State Tourism, Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Committee chairman Hoo Seong Chang was surprised with the move.
“The Second Link is one of only two land entry points into the southern region,” he said.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://thisismalaysialah.blogspot.com/2009/09/no-touch-n-go-card-no-entry-to-malaysia.html' title='No touch n Go card?
